Our Rooms

Each of our six beautifully decorated guestrooms,  now with Wireless Internet access, each named for the seafaring adventures of Captain Lawrence, combines the elegance and grace of this 19th Century home with the comfort and conveniences of today. Each guestroom has a private bath, cable television, ceiling fan, and a small refrigerator for your convenience.

Our fully furnished guest apartment to the rear of the inn, now with Wireless Internet access with its private entrance, eat-in kitchen, cable television, and central air conditioning, provides the privacy and spaciousness that a small family needs to spread out and enjoy a family vacation on the Cape.

 


Alto Room:
Named for the brig on which Tom Lawrence captained his last sea voyage from 1857 to 1862, Alto has both a lace canopied queen bed and an additional twin bed in this elegantly decorated large room.


Mates Room:
Named to honor his many ship mates, this cozy corner room with spacious bathroom and queen-sized bed provides privacy and comfort in a restful setting.


Captain's Room:
With its king-sized bed, cozy reading chair, high ceiling and lace coronet, this magnificent room, Captain Lawrence's bedroom, provides honeymooners and couples a romantic and elegant retreat.


Parlor Room:
The home's original parlor room is now a beautifully decorated first-floor bedroom. Its lace canopied queen-sized bed and additional twin bed are complemented by the soft pastel décor and antique furnishings.


Anaconda Room:
Named for the first whaling ship captained by young Tom Lawrence from 1852 to 1856, Anaconda, what many call the "Blue Room," exudes tasteful elegance and comfort. As the room's centerpiece, the lace canopied queen-size bed is complemented by antique furnishings.


Addison Room:
Named after the second whaling ship that Captain Lawrence mastered from 1848-1852, this room with its floral décor, and queen-size bed is a romantic and cozy getaway.

Our 2010 Rates and Policies

  • All rates are based on double occupancy.
  • Single occupancy is $10 less; for a third person sharing a room there is an additional $30 charge. 
  • Rates are subject to change without notice except on confirmed reservations; state and local taxes are additional.
  • Minimum stay requirements may apply during certain times.
  • Weekly rates available.
  • We are able to accommodate children over six years of age in the inn's guestrooms and children of all ages in our guest apartment.

Guestroom price ranges (rates are based on double occupancy. Includes private bath, cable television, wireless internet access and refrigerator). The following rates vary by month within the ranges below:

February - May 27 ............. $110 to $150
May 28 - October 31 .....…. $160 to $190
November - December .......…$110 to $130
Rates include a full breakfast and afternoon snack.

Efficiency Apartment price ranges (rates are bases on two-adults and children under the age of 15. Breakfast is not provided for the apartment.). The following rates vary by month within the ranges below:

March - May 27 .............$150 to $175
May 28 - October 31 .......$190 to $220
November - December ......... $150-$175

Policies

Payment and Deposits
Prepayment is required for one night's stay. Stays of two or more nights require a 50 percent deposit to guarantee your reservation. Deposits, by credit card only (MasterCard, Visa or American Express), will be processed at the time the reservation is made. The balance is due upon arrival, by cash, credit card or travelers' check.

Cancellation Policy
Deposits are refundable, less $20 per room service charge, on reservations canceled more than 14 days prior to arrival. Deposits are refundable on reservations canceled within 14 days of arrival based on re-rental of the room (or guest apartment) for the nights reserved, less $20 per room service charge. On reservations made more than six months in advance or multiple room reservations, a 30-day cancellation policy applies. Changes and modifications in existing reservations are subject to the above 14/30-day cancellation policy.  Guests holding reservations requiring minimum stays are responsible for the cost of the entire minimum stay.

Check-in Time:
3 to 6 pm. Special arrangement must be made for check-in after 6 pm.

Check-out Time:
11 am

Parking:
Parking (one space per room, nothing in tow) is available for registered guests only.

Smoking
For the safety and comfort of all our guests, the Captain Tom Lawrence House is a non-smoking inn.

Pets
We cannot accommodate pets but there are kennels nearby.
